The system came into force on 14 February 2005. Foundation of REMA System was iniciated by the biggest manufacturers and importers of IT and Telecommunication equipment in the Czech Republic.The impuls for a foundation was a novelisation of the Waste act No. 185/2001 coll, on waste, which came into force on 13 August 2005 (Czech implementation of WEEE Directive). Since this date, importers and manufacturers of WEEE have been obliged to provide and finance organisation of collection, sorting, treatment and recycling of Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE).

The aim of REMA System comprises organisation of collection, sorting, treatment and recycling of Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE). REMA System covers collection, logistics and treatment of all categories of WEEE. 

 

REMA System provides complex solution for all EEE categories.

Financing of REMA System is based on a recycling fee, which have been, since 1 September 2005, added to a price of every EEE. This fee is fixed for every product type and obligatory for all clients of REMA System, so that it doesn´t offer concurrence advantage.

REMA System is certified by ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 14001:2004. Certification was issued by reputable Swiss Company SGS SA.
We also holders of Environmental Product Declaration - EPD for an assessment of ecological, economic, energetic and material impact of WEEE Collective system operation.
